The Plain Language Act of 2009
The Plain Language Act of 2009 requires all executive agencies to use plain language in any document issued to the public, and requires the Director of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) to oversee and implement these requirements.

 
The bill is sponsored by Bruce Braley (D-IA) in the House and Daniel Akaka (D-HI) in the Senate. To learn more about this important piece of legislation, visit:
